Wicklow County Council provides the full range of services including housing; planning; roads; environmental protection; the provision of recreation and amenities and community infrastructure and also plays a key role in supporting economic development and enterprise at a local level. A vacancy now exists in Wicklow County Council for an experienced senior manager to play a leadership role as a Director of Service. Reporting to the Chief Executive, they will be responsible for policy implementation, service delivery and change management. The successful candidate will have: • A career record that demonstrates the necessary senior level leadership and management skills to manage, develop and motivate a large multidisciplinary team; • Experience of managing change in a complex and dynamic environment; • A significant record of achievement of results; • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
