On behalf of my client we are currently recruiting for a Technical & Quality Control Manager. This role will support and manage their technical hub from on a day to day basis and will be a senior member of the management team. This is a superb opportunity for a Technical Manager to run their own team a young and vibrant team. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for the following duties: Duties & Responsibilities: Management of our contract manufactures and other stakeholders to ensure products are produced to within product specifications and adhere to our quality control standard. Assure full compliance of ingredients, formulas and packaging materials with laws and regulations in countries where they are sold. Manage & improve regulatory process, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely delivery of technical documentation to international customers. Issue mandatory labelling of products and approve final artwork and text for product packaging to ensure it meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. Liaising with customer on their product specifications and quality or /technical support issues. Liaising with the regulatory authority and ensuring we are compliant with the latest regulations across all platforms. Liaising with colleagues in production, laboratory, finance, procurement, sales, marketing and customer service with regards to QA and Compliance. Inspecting and sampling the entire manufacturing process including liaison with suppliers. Analysing and reporting of same. Managing and conducting Research & Development on existing products and New Product Development. Skills Required: Bachelor Degree in Food Science with 5+ years working with food related products. Organized approach with a strong technical aptitude and with exceptional attention to detail. Specific knowledge on NA labelling, food additives and packaging material compliance and claims regulations. Enthusiastic, self-starter with good initiative and proactive approach to work. PC literate with a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of product. This is a senior management role and it is expected that after an initial period of familiarization with plant operation systems with a view to compliance with BRC that a large proportion of the successful candidates time will be spend on operational matters.
