General maintenance of milling, drying and seed equipment/machinery. regular basic maintenance - greasing bearings, machinery etc. repairing augers, motors, belts, conveyors etc. pneumatic repairs. it would be beneficial to have a basic electrical understanding. must be able to work in a team environment liasing with operators. need to use their analytical and problem-solving skills to run tests on structural systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction. they then need to come up with plan of action and use their welding skills to replace the necessary components. maintenance/fitter operators are responsible for creating and implementing a maintenance procedure and schedule for all of the systems under their control. this includes keeping an organsed maintenance log. will be required to do maintenance/repair related work in other branches/locations. adhere strictly to health & safety protocols and procedures.
