I am delighted to be assisting my client a leading highly automated medical device plant in Dublin find a Process Project Engineer. The successful candidate will lead a major project, in a production line transfer to the US. This is an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer who is looking to fully manage a project from beginning to end. It is a 3-year project. In the first year (25%) travel to US, year 2 (50%) and year 3 (75%) My client is a leading, highly automated, high volume manufacturing plant. They are known for having cutting edge, state of the art equipment onsite. This role will be perfect for someone coming from medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, automotive, food industries that is highly automated. If you have led a similar project like this or have been part of a project, then this could be an excellent opportunity for you. The Process Engineer will manage the completion of multiple concurrent projects within the development engineering function from concept to completion. You will; End to end project management for assigned projects including: Develop detailed project plan, tracking project, identifying/managing risks, tracking budget spend and updating plan as required. Stakeholder management and provide regular status updates. Conduct cost benefit and feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality of processes and support project justifications. Engage with vendors on the development, design, and evaluation of equipment and/or processes requiring novel and innovative approaches in technology. Develop advanced manufacturing processes using Six Sigma and Lean guidelines to lower product standard cost. Investigate and evaluate existing and/or new technologies and coordinate associated project activities. Liaise with Corporate R&D in the development of new product introduction projects and ensure that project timelines are met. Lead the complete validation of new and existing equipment including acceptance trials, debugging, process development, and final validation. Support any Technology Transfer activities, including planning, execution and ramp of equipment transfers. Undertake Knowledge Transfer activities ensuring adequate training on new equipment and processes enabling a successful validation and ramp. Execute process improvements through identification of problem areas/opportunities and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors. Requirements. Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree qualification or equivalent qualification. Management of high-speed automation projects. A proven ability to deliver projects from concept through to completion. Introduction of new products/ technical transfers.
