The National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin is Ireland’s leading botanical and horticultural institution, which cultivates a comprehensive collection of plants for scientific research, conservation, education and display. The National Botanic Gardens within The Office of Public Works (OPW) manages Kilmacurragh Arboretum in Co. Wicklow and the John F. Kennedy Arboretum in Co. Wexford as an integral part of the National Botanic Gardens.  The OPW is now recruiting the following key position to join our successful team: Curator  Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management and development of the horticultural collection of the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Kilmacurragh and the John F. Kennedy Arboretum in New Ross as well as managing and leading the teams in all sites. The ideal candidate will hold a qualification at Level 8 (minimum 2nd class honours), or higher, on the NFQ in an appropriate subject, e.g., Horticulture, Botany or a related discipline and will have experience in the supervision or management of a plant collection, botanic gardens or arboretum as well as administrative experience in the running of a significant maintenance and works organisation.
