Matrix Recruitment Group are currently recruiting an experienced BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for a large Food Company based in Co. Wexford. The role is offered on a permanent basis: Role Purpose: To develop the defined territory, with total responsibility for sales, debt, margin and profit. Key activities: Deliver and exceed agreed regional and territory sales, profit and margin targets. Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new customers. Drive growth through expanding product range being supplied to existing accounts. Maintain all accounts within agreed credit terms. Manage all customer contracts within the territory, including managing pricing and range to maximise profitability. Maintain Territory Management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and the most effective call pattern for each customer. Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices. Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the Sales Manager. Ensure the correct product mix in each account to ensure maximum profitability. Ensure full co-operation with internal teams. Ensure total awareness of legislative requirements and company policy and procedure about Health and Safety, Environmental Health and legal considerations of the food environment. Key Measure. Sales and profit targets against budget and agreed monthly targets. New customer account target. Stable and growing portfolio of customer accounts. Accurate and complete administration. Educational Requirements: Leaving Cert / GCSE. Full clean driving licence – as majority of time on the road. Experience/ knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/ range/ customers. Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets .
