Opportunity for experienced Continuous ImprovementProduction Manager to work in the medical device/diagnostics field. ROLE OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Continuous ImprovementProduction Manager is responsible for: Directing the activities and priorities for the Production Departments within the Companys Operations in line with business objectives. Provide technical, operational, compliance and efficiency leadership to the team. Ensure continuous improvement by identifying, Initiating and supporting improvements in production output and processes through data driven continuous improvement techniques. Develop and lead a high performing team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of personnel within the Production department. The Production department is responsible for the following functions: Manufacturing of lateral flow products to meet sale demand. Output expected to increase significantly (Greater than 2x) through growth of existing product and introduction of products currently in development. Scheduling production capacity in line with business needs. Shift operations are required to meet demand. Efficient operation of production lines so that agreed plan is delivered. Identification and resolution of production technical and yield issues through the use of systematic problem solving techniques and data analysis. Development and support of team to ensure department can reliably and consistently deliver. A large portion of time will be spent data gathering to identify improvement projects and introducing Lean Management Principles to improve process flow within the organisation. These projects and improvement will be run by, or supported by the Project Manager. Management of Production Issues, Out of Specification results, Non-Conformances, Deviation and other relevant Quality Systems issues which relate to their Production department. Key member of the Site Leadership Team. The Production Manager will work alongside other departments to achieve the Companys Goals and Objectives. Keep up to date on industry best practices as well as current Quality Standards and Regulations impacting the IVD industry. Ensuring that all internal and external customer specific needs are met. To drive an awareness of production requirements throughout the organisation and to champion continuous improvement initiatives. Drive continuous improvement opportunity identification and progress in all areas. REQUIREMENTS: Primary degree/diploma qualification in a Management, Technical, Engineering or equivalent subject. Lean Black Belt certification would be desirable. At least 5 years industrial experience in a similar role. Ideally in a similar industry. Ideally will have experience of managing shift operations. Must have experience in project management of change programs. First-hand experience of audits by regulatory authorities. Ideally will have participated in FDA, HPRA and/or other regulatory authority audits. Extensive experience of CI processes including Lean Initiatives, 5S, Data Recording and Analysis, Problem Solving Techniques, etc. Experience managing a team and should have a demonstrated track record and success in team building skills.
