Production Shift Supervisor (food sector) - County Wicklow. Job Duties: • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. • Maintain staff by orienting and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities. • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to manufacture within process control points; initiating and fostering spirit of cooperation within and between departments. • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. • Maintain a quality service by enforcing organisational standards. • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs. • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, sorting and analysing production performance records and data answering questions and responding to requests. • Maintain systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record keeping systems forms of control. • Maintain a safe clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures. • Maintain a working relationship with works committee by following agreements. • Resolve personnel problems by analysing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Experience in computer controlled production systems. Skills and Qualifications: • At least 3 years' supervisory experience. • Coaching and management processes. • Process improvement. • Production planning. • Good people management skills. • Good technical skills. • Problem solving skills. • Experience in high volume manufacturing. • High level of computer skills.
