They are now looking for a Project Manager / Sales Engineer to join the Reinforcement part of their business working out of their warehouse in Dublin 22. This is the perfect role for a project manager with a steel industry background to consolidate their skill-set and take their next step into an all-encompassing role which involves client liaison as well as engineering project management. As the Project Manager / Sales Engineer, you will take charge of steel cut and bend projects from initial enquiry through to finished product. Specifically, you will act as the project manager for cut and bent steel activities as well as the client manager and sales liaison. You will attract new business, develop specifications and take care of the commercial elements of each project as well as overseeing the steelwork and ensuring the finished product meets requirements. Ensuring production, sales and margin targets are met, you will improve upon KPIs, manage production schedules, identify and make contact with new clients and manage branch orders. You will monitor stock levels, oversee a preventative maintenance programme for machinery and ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety are delivered. If so, you will need: - Previous project management experience. - A strong understanding of the steel industry (ideally in a sales capacity. - Full competence with standard software packages, including MS Word and Excel. Commercially astute, team and target focused, as the Project Manager / Sales Engineer, you will need strong networking, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and customer-facing skills, flexibility and the willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will also have experience in the construction industry and a third level qualification (or equivalent) in civil engineering or a related discipline.
