On behalf of our client, a global cosmetics company, I am recruiting for a Senior Microbiology Manager. RESPONSIBLITIES. 1. Strategy Creation. Create a relevant forward focused Preservative Strategy based on industry trends, Company Brand and safety of use. Support Companys Raw Material Strategic initiatives. Collaborate with R&D to identify future/next generation opportunities. Communicate scientific benefits and risks associated with preservative usage and identify opportunities. 2. Commercialisation. Review current ways of working within Microbiology laboratory and recommend additional efficiencies / simplification. Recommend additional preservative system usage for Companys product portfolio aligned to global market awareness. 3. Industry Awareness. Fully aware of benefits / concerns / legal status relating to preservative ingredients and their usage in optimized product formats. Familiar with preferred preservative usage across global cosmetic industry. Familiar with European Cosmetics legislation on preservative ingredients. Gain insights into customer preferred preservative usage. 4. People Management. Growing and enabling team career development through active planning and dialogue. Identify capability gaps and address accordingly. Grow expertise in core technologies. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. High level of experience and knowledge in cosmetic preservatives and their benefits / risks. High degree of industry credibility in this scientific discipline. Ability to analyse & translate trends into opportunities for the Company. Excellent communication skills - many stakeholders to work with. High level of experience of leading and developing team. Proven track record of success in fast paced and evolving environment(s. QUALIFACTIONS. 8 years (+) experience in Cosmetic Microbiology or similar.
